We are currently hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team on one of our projects – Intelity. For this position, we are looking for a candidate with 4+ years of working experience.

Through guest and employee mobile apps, integration with smart devices and various hardware, over 100 system integrations and the Guest Experience Management System, (GEMS®) Staff Operations Hub, Intelity enhances guest experiences in over 60 countries on 6 continents, serving more than 1000 hotels (including renowned names such as Hilton, Hyatt, Four Seasons, Fairmont, Hard Rock, and Oakwood).

Gross 1 salary range for this position:

4.300 – 4.900 EUR – depending on your skills and experience.

Guest Experience Management System, GEMS®, is everything a team needs to elevate guest experience and streamline their day-to-day operations.

Platform API and Integrations Cloud

Intelity platform supports more than 100 different integrations – including property management systems, POS integration, ticketing systems, lock vendors, room controls and many others.

Some of the integrations are implemented in partnership with Oracle Hospitality, Simphony, Nevaya, FreshBed, and Unifocus.

Platform API allows hotels to further customize their guest experience.

Platform API helps to unlock features the guests want and upgrade the guest experience.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will collaborate with Software Engineers to provide stable, repeatable solutions, identify potential risks – and provide practical solutions to avoid them
  • Provide and maintain well-tuned CI/CD systems
  • Help define system usage policies and procedures
  • Submit merge requests
  • Document, test, and maintain high-quality and highly available solutions
  • Service stability and monitoring system performance: Incident Management and Problem Management, ensuring zero downtime
  • Participating in Change Management on escort and delivery changes initiated by R&D
  • Participating in maintaining and optimizing existing infrastructure and application set
  • Helping automate manual repeatable and day-to-day operations tasks as per instruction
  • Participate in improvements, optimization, and development of automation based on Ansible, Terraform-Terragrant, and Jenkins, as well as related to the containerization of applications based on Kubernetes in AWS EKS
  • Participate in SCRUM-based processes as a part of the team

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar engineering role
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Great understanding of IaC and CI/CD principles, familiarity with Jenkins or alternatives
  • Experience in monitoring and maintaining applications or software products, triaging incidents, participating in investigations with developers (SRE)
  • Experience in working with cloud-based infrastructure and applications (AWS)
  • Working experience with version control (i.e. Git)
  • Great communication skills
  • Passionate
  • Spoken English that allows joining calls and incident bridges
  • Due to the requirements of this position, a certain evening hours availability will be needed a few times per month, to assist the US-based team (approx. 1-2 times per month between 7-8 pm CET)

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Experience in server administration (Linux and/or Windows) with hands-on experience with the AWS cloud
  • Hands-on experience with databases – PostgreSQL, MongoDB (+ Atlas), AWS, MS SQL
  • Solid understanding of the application servers architecture and operating model within at least one type of operating system (Linux or Windows)
  • Practical experience in scripting languages and routine procedures automation (bash, python)
  • Monitoring (User level)- ELK stack (Elastic-Logstash-Kibana), Grafana, AppDynamics, Zabbix
  • Experience with Kubernetes and K8S/EKS
  • Experience with RabbitMQ
  • Other tools – Jira, Confluence
